The East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a diverse landscape with steep wooded valleys and heathland in a patchwork of fields bounded by traditional high banks and mixed hedges. The high plateau extends along the coast giving wonderful views in all directions. It is a really unspoilt area with scattered villages and farms, peaceful and quiet. The coast of Dorset  & East Devon is now a World Heritage Site because it is so unspoilt and represents 185 million years of the Earth’s history in just 95 miles of coastline. It is only 10 minutes drive away and stretches along the beautiful coastal landscape of Lyme Bay with its tall cliffs and hidden beaches.
